The Altamira cogeneration plant (in the state of Tamaulipas) will contribute to reducing the energy costs of a chemical plant and the one in Bajío (state of Querétaro) will do the same for a plant for the production of hygiene products.
The Altamira cogeneration plant includes gas turbines and steam condensation turbines with two extractions. It will provide a total of 60 megawatts (MW) of power, divided into 51 MW of power supplied by the gas turbines group and 9 MW supplied by a condensing steam turbine with low and medium pressure extractions.
The projects will have a combined generation capacity of approximately 100 megawatts (MW), the equivalent power needed to supply some 500.000 Mexican households.
